This zester produces very sharply defined grated zest from citrus compared to the pulverized mush from my other zester. It makes super fast work of zesting & grating.
Also works very well for grating fine ribbons of cheese from a chunk of Parmesan cheese.
Cleans easily and sharp - watch your fingers.

I purchased a microplane from a different company about a year ago and was very unhappy with it. I did some research and found that this is one of the best around. I do a lot of cooking and couldn't be happier with it. It "cuts like butta"! I have recommended it to a couple of my friends and they have also purchased this microplane. If you use recipes that require citrus zest, a small amount of freshly grated cheese in a zest-like style, which is finer, or a little nutmeg, this is for you! This is great for people who enjoy making their own marinade, salad dressing, or Italian cooking. Make sure that you have a use for it first. I haven't tried it on ginger, but it minces garlic in a pinch. No more washing the cutting board and the knife. It stores away easily. One reviewer complained about the blade becoming dull after grating cheese for a few months. I would never recommend using this to grate a lot of cheese for a long time! It states grater, but it's primarily a zester. You can occasionally use it to grate a small amount of cheese into a bowl of soup, but if you want to grate a whole chunk of cheese, I suggest using a coarse grater. This isn't meant to withstand rigorous usage. Other than that, this zester has no faults!Customer Review: Great item at a great price!
