I remember Julia Child making comments years ago about her pastry brush. She was using a particular paintbrush that could be purchased at Sears for $3, and did a better job than most professional ones.Well, take a woodworking tool and apply it to kitchen use, and you have the MicroPlane Grater. This thing is absolutely the best tool I have seen in years! I got the interchangeable one since I am the only person in the kitchen, so economics of space dictated my choice. However, if you have the room, buy the individual models so both can be used. It cleans easily, and grates perfectly.
I have yet to have someone try this grater and not go out to buy one for themselves. Try it once and you're hooked. It's that good.
